February 29, 2008 -- After consultation with Sen. Obama’s staff, TCS determined that a $7,227,500 project should be added to the database and appropriately adjusted any effected member’s final earmark tallies.

February 22, 2008 -- The requesting member's name was spelled incorrectly on several earmarks, which changed the "by member" earmark totals for the members whose names were wrong. The main datbase and member totals database have both been updated.

February 20, 2007 -- Two earmarks were inadvertently deleted from the database during TCS analysis. One earmark was $4.7 million for the National Textile Center; the other was $1.6 million for Commercial Technologies for Maintenance Activities. This changed the bottom line total slightly and required small changes to several state totals; as these were considered "national" earmarks by TCS, member totals did not change.

Taxpayers for Common Sense is a non-partisan budget watchdog that serves as an independent voice for American taxpayers.  Now in its second decade of service to the nation, TCS seeks to ensure that our government spends taxpayer money efficiently and responsibly by working to eliminate wasteful and harmful federal spending.
