Database of Congressional Earmarks for FY2008

Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS) staff and interns have devoted thousands of hours to researching, reconciling, and double-checking every earmark identified by Congress and every spending item that meets our definition of an earmark.  We have created a comprehensive database of all of the earmarks in the final Fiscal Year 2008 spending bills and, for the first time, connected almost every earmark with a political sponsor.  The analysis below and accompanying database is the culmination of that work.
