A draft has started floating around of the Obama Administration's reauthorization proposal for the nation's transportation program. SAFETEA-LU, the last reauthorization bill, expired in 2009 and has been operating under a series of short extensions since that time. The most recent extension takes the program through the end of September.
Though it has been reported that there has been no acknowledgement of its authenticity by the administration, it almost certainly contains some ideas that will be in the final proposal and others that might change.
