Dear Representative:  When the House of Representatives considers the budget resolution this week, Taxpayers for Common Sense Action (TCS Action) urges you vote for a fiscally sound budget resolution that balances tax and spending cuts with an eventually balanced budget. TCS Action will consider scoring the vote on the budget resolution in TCS Action's annual Common Sense Taxpayer Scorecard.

TCS Action supports efforts to aggressively pursue a balanced budget while providing a short-term stimulus to jump start the economy. Although we may differ on some of the details, TCS Action applauds the strong budgetary leadership demonstrated by Chairman Nussle (R-IA) in crafting a responsible budget resolution that addresses the deficit. TCS Action strongly urges Congress to pass a budget resolution like Chairman Nussle's that provides a road map toward a balanced budget and will consider scoring such a vote in our 2003 Taxpayer Scorecard.
