We are excited to announce that Charity Navigator, the largest nonprofit evaluator in the US, has awarded Taxpayers for Common Sense a four-star “exceptional” rating for “sound fiscal management and commitment to accountability and transparency.”

Charity Navigator states that its goal is to provide donors a ‘guide to intelligent giving’ by evaluating the financial health of charitable organizations. Recently, Charity Navigator included measures of organizations’ transparency and accountability to their evaluation criteria, and only a quarter of the over 5,000 nonprofits evaluated received the highest rating of four-stars. The fact that Taxpayers for Common Sense is one of the few nonprofits to receive the highest rating is a testament to the value we place on spending the generous contributions from our donors responsibly.

Awards like this encourage us to continue to demand that government operates within its means, and it is thanks to our donors that we are able to do so without bias and with integrity. Taxpayers for Common Sense is grateful for the hundreds of generous individuals and charitable foundations who support our work each year.
