TCS: FAA budget transfer a “gimmick”

On Tuesday, President Obama held a wide-ranging White House news conference. He addressed Syria, the Boston Bombings, and Guantanamo Bay. Obama also renewed his call for lawmakers to replace across-the-board federal spending cuts.

"What's clear is that the only way we're going to lift it is if we do a bigger deal that meets the test of lowering our deficit and growing our economy at the same time," Obama said. "That's going to require some compromises on the part of both Democrats and Republicans."

The fight over tighter budgets keeps on coming -- one agency at a time.

Ryan Alexander, president of Taxpayers for Common Sense, discussed that and other top tax topics with Capital Insider.
