The Pentagon’s Place in this Fall’s Budget Battle

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew says the U.S. will reach its $16.7 trillion borrowing limit in mid-October. Unless Congress acts, a big part of the federal government will shut down and the U.S. will default on its debt obligations.

Steve Ellis, vice president of Taxpayers for Common Sense, discussed the way forward with Capital Insider.
