A recently released report is giving ammunition to opponents of the western bypass. It comes from a group called "Taxpayers for Common Sense." Albemarle supervisor and bypass opponent Dennis Rooker says the proposed road is listed as one of the top-8 most wasteful projects in the U.S.
Rooker says the group is asking Congress to disapprove any federal funding for the western bypass.
