Its products and services to businesses include deposit products, such as business checking, business analysis checking, business interest checking, business money market, and non-profit and community association checking accounts, as well as certificates of deposit; and loan products and services, including revolving line of credit, equipment loans and lines of credit, asset based lending, construction loans, real estate loans, business Visa/Mastercard, business ready reserve, and small business administration loans. The banks products and services to individuals comprise deposit products and services, such as security basic, security classic, community personal account, security plus checking, personal money market account, conventional savings account, customized savings, time certificates of deposit, and individual retirement account; and loan products and services, including personal loans, personal line of credit, ready reserve, home equity loans, home equity lines of credit, and construction loans. It also offers cash management, online banking, bill payment, automatic tax payments, business remittance lockbox, positive pay, electronic data interchange, wire transfer, concentration accounts, telephone banking, and credit card products and services to individuals. Security Bank of California was founded in 2004 and is headquartered in Riverside, California.

In January the company began participating in the Treasury Department’s Capital Purchase Program .  Under the program the company received $6.8 million from Treasury in exchange for preferred stock.
