Wilmington Trust Corporation, based in Wilmington, DE, is a financial holding company whose primary subsidiary is Wilmington Trust Company, in addition to subsidiaries Wilmington Trust of Pennsylvania and Wilmington Trust FSB. In May 2008, Wilmington Trust acquired AST Capital Trust Company. According to its website, Wilmington Trust is one of the largest personal trust providers, with a staff of more than 2,500. Wilmington Trust will receive $330 million through the Treasury Department’s Capital Purchase Program.
