Neil Barofsky, Special Inspector General for the Treasury's Toxic Assets Relief Program (SIGTARP), released his quarterly report on the Treasury program today.  In this 250 page report Mr. Barofsky attempts to explain the various TARP programs the size of which have expanded from a $700 billion program funded by taxpayer dollars, to one invlovling nearly $3 Trillion in taxpayer and private funds.  The report also provides an accounting of what the SIGTARP has done since its last report to Congress on February 6th, and sets forth some recommendations for the operation of TARP.

We anticipate providing further analysis throughout the day as we digest this 250 page report.
