On February 24, 2025, Taxpayers for Common Sense Action and the Center for Methane Emission Solutions sent a letter calling on Congress to oppose efforts to repeal the Waste Emissions Charge for Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems through the Congressional Review Act (CRA). Methane waste costs taxpayers millions in lost revenue and keeps a valuable energy resource from reaching consumers.
