The failures of the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to ensure a fair return for natural gas resources produced on federally owned lands are well documented. Any attempt to repeal or delay the implementation of the methane waste rule would result in the loss of millions of dollars in resource revenues for federal taxpayers.
