Agriculture industry activists are pushing back against President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill.”
On June 25, representatives with groups such as the Environmental Working Group (EWG) and Taxpayers for Common Sense held a press briefing voicing concerns over how they believe the budget bill would harm small farmers and taxpayers.
If it passes, they said it would mean increasing farm subsidy loopholes, which would assist wealthy farmers or corporate agriculture while adding billions to the deficit.
