Without listing any of the actual programs, the Pentagon portion of the FY22 “skinny” budget request states the discretionary request will support, “DOD’s plan to divest legacy systems and programs to redirect resources from low- to high-priority programs, platforms, and systems.”

The explanatory language goes on to explain that much legacy force structure is too costly to maintain.

We couldn’t agree more. Ever since a review of legacy systems was announced, we’ve been waiting for exactly this moment.
