Taxpayers for Common Sense testified to the Congress regarding the Animas-La Plata (ALP) project in 2000. Since its founding in 1995, TCS has consistently opposed ALP because of its costs to taxpayers. Although there are a variety of reasons to oppose the ALP project, TCS remains opposed to the proposed project because it is too expensive and it is unnecessary.
