TCS fights to keep unnecessary subsidies, loopholes and tax breaks out of America's energy policy

For more than a decade, TCS has led the battle to expose and eliminate the needless subsidization of highly profitable energy industries. TCS has focused on cutting wasteful spending provisions in both congressional and administrative proposals targeting direct subsidies, loan guarantees, price floors and other incentives for well-established industries, including coal, oil and gas, and nuclear.

TCS’s Energy Campaign aims to bring more accountability and transparency to the legislative process and to shift America’s energy policy away from a corporate welfare approach and towards cost-effective incentives that benefit the public interest rather than lining the pockets of wealthy industries.
