House Releases Homeland Security Earmark Letters

The House Appropriations Committee has just released the earmark request letters for the 2009 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations bill.

The $40 billion Homeland Security spending bill is $2.3 billion over the President’s request, but it actually adds $4.2 billion in unrequested spending. It includes $180 million in earmarks.
