The Bancorp, Inc. is a financial holding company with a wholly owned subsidiary, The Bancorp Bank. The Bancorp Bank is headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, with offices in Philadelphia, Exton, and Warminster, Pennsylvania; Crofton, Maryland; and Orlando, Florida. In December 2008, The Bancorp entered into an agreement as part of the Treasury Department’s Capital Purchase Program to exchange 45,220 shares of the company’s Fixed Rate Cumulative Perpetual Preferred Stock, Series B and a warrant for more than 1.9 million shares of the company’s common stock for $45.22 million in cash.
