Taxpayers for Common Sense joined more than 50 other free-market supportive organizations today on a letter encouraging Congress to let the Export-Import Bank expire as scheduled this June.

The Export-Import Bank is a taxpayer disaster waiting to happen. The financial commitments the bank makes are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Treasury, meaning in the case of default, it’s taxpayers who are on the hook.
