Taxpayers for Common Sense (TCS) submitted public comments to the New Mexico Oil Conservation Commission in strong support of proposed amendments to strengthen financial assurance requirements for oil and gas operators in New Mexico. Strengthening New Mexico’s rules now will reduce dependence on state and federal remediation programs, align the state with emerging BLM standards, and demonstrate fiscal responsibility nationwide.
