On December 19, 2023, Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-VT) released the $1.7 trillion fiscal year 2023 Omnibus Appropriations bill. The bill includes $772.5 billion for non-defense discretionary programs and $858 billion in defense funding, as well as emergency assistance to Ukraine and disaster recovery.
