A handy website called Open CRS has been tracking down as many Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports they can get their hands on and posting them for everyone to see. CRS is Congress’s own academic think tank, funded by taxpayer dollars, but their reports on practically any policy issue you can think of are not directly released to the public. So the folks at Open CRS are performing a great public service.

One newly obtained report in particular, “Causes of the Financial Crisis” may be interesting to many (click here for the report) – it’s a look at the numerous reasons people have suggested are contributors to the recent financial mess we’re in right now. Further, at this site (click here) you can find a compilation of the most recent CRS Reports on the Financial Crisis, Economy, and Stimulus. We hope you find this information useful.
